Springfield Armor News Release
SPRINGFIELD - The Springfield Armor today announced that they will be partnering up with the Marines of Machine Gun Platoon, Anti-Terrorism Battalion to organize a Toy's for Tot's drive at the Armor's home game on Wednesday, December 23rd.
Each year the Marines of Machine Gun Platoon work hard to reach out to the communities of Western Mass in order to make the holiday season a little happier for the children in the Western Mass area. Through the help of many local businesses and organizations, media, and volunteers they collect and distribute over 50,000 toys within western Mass.
Machine Gun Platoon is stationed out of the Westover Air Reserve Base in Chicopee, MA. They provide assistance in the counties of Berkshire, Franklin, Hampshire, and Hampden. During the months of October through December the Marines and volunteers collect new toys to provide a brighter Christmas for disadvantaged children in our area.
If you would like to help out, all you have to do is bring a new, unwrapped toy to the Springfield Armor game on Wednesday, December 23rd at 7 p.m. at the MassMutual Center. To show our appreciation for your contribution, the Armor will be offering $1 off admission to anyone who donates.
