(Bakersfield, Calif. - December 8, 2009) - The Bakersfield Jam have acquired guard Jeremy Wise to replace center Terrence Gamble, who was released due to injury.

Wise will make his debut in the NBA D-League, having left the University of Southern Mississippi for the NBA Draft after his junior season. The 6'2", 165-lb Wise led the Golden Eagles with 16.7 points and 4.7 assists in his third year at the school, shooting 44.7% from the field and 81.9% from the line.

"Jeremy is a very talented young player," said Jam head coach Will Voigt. "We are excited to see what he can do on the floor."

Gamble suffered a mild right shoulder separation during a battle under the boards in Saturday's loss to the Utah Flash. He averaged 2.3 points and 6.8 rebounds in 21.8 minutes over four games (one start) for the Jam.
