Calgary Hitmen Outscore Prince George Cougars 6-5

Prince George, BC - The Calgary Hitmen pulled into a tie for number one overall in the Western Hockey League with a 6-5 win over the Cougars in Prince George Wednesday night.

The Hitmen and Saskatoon Blades now share top spot with 43 points each.

Brandon Kozun and Joel Broda each had four points (2g 2a) to lead the Hitmen scoring attack in Prince George. Kozun's second goal of the game with 3:03 remaining snapped a 5-5 third period tie and proved to be the game winner.

Ian Schultz (1g 2a) also scored for Calgary who outshot the Cougars 38-30.

Austin Madaisky and Misha Fisenko each chipped in a pair of assists for the Hitmen who will use Thursday as a travel day before playing in Vancouver Friday and Chilliwack Saturday.
