
Havoc Splits Two At Home

HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Huntsville Havoc split a pair of home games over the Thanksgiving weekend, falling Thursday night to Louisiana 4-3 before rebounding with a 3-1 win over Knoxville on Saturday.
Thursday, November 26 - Louisiana 4, Huntsville 3
HUNTSVILLE, AL - Josh Bonar scored with :22 left in the game lifting the Louisiana Ice Gators to a 4-3 win over the Huntsville Havoc Thurdsday night.
Each team had managed three powerplay goals each before Bonar finsihed the game with his even-strength goal.
Mike MacDonald, Jeff White and Ray Ortiz had all scored for the Havoc while A.J. Tucker, Mike Omicoli and Matt Smyth all scored for the Ice Gators.
A.J. Bucchino made 39 saves in the win while Dan McWhinney made 36 in the loss.
Saturday, November 28 - Knoxville 1, Huntsville 3
HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Huntsville Havoc fell behing 1-0 before scoring two goals in the second period and claimed a 3-1 win over the Knoxville Ice Bears Saturday night in front of 5,217 fans.
Grant Ferrell gave the Ice Bears 1-0 lead with a 5-on-3 powerplay goal with :30 left in the first period.
Travis Kauffeldt scored a powerplay goal with 6:23 left in the second to tie the game at 1-1. Justin Rohr would add a goal three minutes later and the Havoc had a 2-1 lead heading into the final period.
Mike MacDonald added an empty-net goal with 1:06 left to seal the win.
Mark Sibbald made 30 saves in the win while Dan Earles made 39 in the loss.
