Calvillo Named Offensive Player Of The Week

Montreal, Nov. 24, 2009 - The Canadian Football League announced today that Montreal Alouettes' quarterback Anthony Calvillo has been named the league's Offensive Player of the Week following his performance in the Alouettes' 56-18 East Division Final win over the BC Lions last Sunday at Olympic Stadium.
Calvillo matched a CFL playoff record by throwing for five touchdowns in the win. The Eastern nominee for Most Outstanding Player finished the game 19 of 28 for 312 yards and five touchdowns against just one interception.
He twice found both Jamel Richardson and Brian Bratton in the end zone, while Kerry Watkins caught his other TD pass. The 56 points scored by the Alouettes were the most in franchise playoff history.
The Alouettes will face the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the 97th Grey Cup this at 6:30 p.m. (Eastern) this Sunday, Nov. 29 in Calgary (RDS HD, TSN HD, CKAC SPORTS, CJAD 800 AM).
