
Stingrays Gameday: Stingrays Close Weekend Home Stand Against Chiefs Today

South Carolina Stingrays News Release
North Charleston, SC -The South Carolina Stingrays face the Johnstown Chiefs today at 4:00 p.m. at North Charleston Coliseum in the final game of a three-in-three weekend home stand. Tonight is the first of four scheduled meetings between the two teams and the only contest at North Charleston Coliseum. South Carolina is 10-1-2 against the Chiefs all-time.
Today is the first Kid's Carnival of the season featuring $5 kid's tickets! Come join the fun starting at 2:30 p.m. on the Montague side of the Coliseum in the plaza. Camp Bow Wow will be on the main concourse for our first Adopt-a-Dog Sunday! Stop by and visit the Adoptable Dog of the Night! Tri-County Family Ministries will host a canned food drive at the Kid's Carnival and at all entrances to the Coliseum. Please bring non-perishable food items to support a great cause!
Note of the Night: South Carolina defenseman Dylan Yeo has a two-game point streak (1g-1a) coming into tonight's game against the Chiefs. Yeo scored his second of the season last night in the third period in a 5-2 loss to the Gwinnett Gladiators.
Breaking Through The Stingrays are tied for fourth in the league on the penalty kill with 84.7 percent (83-for-98) and tenth overall at home standing at 82.2 percent.
Little Chiefs The Stingrays are 10-1-2 against the Chiefs all-time and were 1-0 last season with a 6-3 victory at Johnstown on February 20, 2009.
Keeping It Close The Stingrays are 7-1-1-3 in one-goal games and have scored the opening goal in only six of the 18 games played so far this season going 4-1-0-1.
