Bakersfield, Calif. - RW Dan Sexton put on a show for the second night in a row, scoring a hat trick en route to the Bakersfield Condors (11-6-0-0, 22pts) 7-4 win over the Alaska Aces (8-6-2-0, 18pts) Saturday night at Rabobank Arena in front of 4,520 fans. Sexton has seven points (3g-4a) on the weekend as the Condors go for the weekend sweep against Alaska on Sunday at 5 p.m.

In the first period, it was all Condors, who defeated the Aces 6-2 on Friday night. Sexton scored his first of the game on a rebound, while skating 4-on-4 at 1:14 of the opening frame. Just 1:10 later, C Adam Naglich tallied his second of the season, also with the teams skating four aside. The goal chased G Scott Reid, who relinquished two goals on four shots. G Sebastian Dahm didn't fair any better, also giving up two goals on four shots in the period. At 5:23, F Andrew Ianiero swatted a bouncing puck past Dahm on the power play for his fourth of the season and a 3-0 lead. Sexton made it 4-0 with a beautiful backhand shot, while shorthanded, with 7:36 remaining in the first period. RW Erick Lizon also did his part, taking down RW Justin Johnson in two altercations in the game's first 15 minutes.

RW Colin Hemingway cut the lead to 4-1 with 6:36 to play in the middle frame. But the Condors got it right back 22 seconds later when LW Mathieu Aubin registered his third goal in three games for a 5-1 Bakersfield lead. Then, Sexton made the hats rain down with his third of the game and 10th of the season on a deflection off of a perfect feed from LW Shawn Weller with 4:33 remaining in the second period for a 6-1 Condors advantage.

Alaska made it interesting in the third period, scoring three goals to cut the lead to 6-4. F Nick Mazzolini scored at 4:37 of the period, D T.J. Fast tallied a goal with 7:01 to play and C Curtis Fraser cut the lead to 6-4 with 5:05 remaining in the third. But Aubin salted the game away with his second of the game into the empty net.

G Justin Pogge earned his second win in two nights, stopping 32 of 36 shots. The Condors penalty kill was hard at work, stopping all 10 Aces power plays, including six in the third period alone. Bakersfield, meanwhile, converted on one of their eight opportunities.
