Lancers' Jeff Teglia Named USHL Goaltender Of The Week

OMAHA, NE - The Omaha Lancers in conjunction with the United States Hockey League (USHL) are pleased to announce that Lancers' goaltender Jeff Teglia has been named USHL Goaltender of the Week for Week 4 of the 2009-2010 season. It's the second time this season Teglia has been recognized as the USHL's Goaltender of the Week.

The second-year Lancers goaltender was brilliant in his two starts of the week as the Lancers went 3-0 with victories over Chicago, Waterloo and Sioux City. Thursday evening, the Bloomingdale, Illinois native turned aside 25 shots in holding the league's highest scoring offense to just a single goal as the Lancers skated past the Chicago Steel 5-1 at the Omaha Civic Auditorium. Then, in his first road start of the season, Teglia allowed just one goal against while turning aside 18 of Sioux City's 19 total shots as the Lancers dropped the Musketeers 4-1 at the Tyson Event Center's Gateway Arena.

Through the first four weeks of the USHL season, Teglia ranks first among all goaltenders with a 1.66 goals-against average and is tied with Indiana's Cab Morris for first in the league with a .935 save percentage.
