
Rangers Close Weekend With 6-3 Win Over Greyhounds

The Rangers finished their weekend play on a high note after claiming a 6-3 win over the visiting Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.
One of the Rangers top scorers Jeremy Morin netted the first goal of the game midway through the opening period. Greyhounds, Carson Dubchak tied the game 1-1 with an un-assisted marker at the 18:53 mark.
The teams exchanged goals in the second period with Sault Ste. Marie's Vern Cooper finding the back of the Rangers net at the 1:18 mark. Ben Thompson replied for Kitchener with his first Ontario Hockey League career goal at the 7:03 mark. After 40-minutes of play the game was even at 2-2.
Thompson recorded his second of the game at the 8:33 mark of the third period to give the Rangers a 3-2 lead. James Livingston responded to level out the game once more at the 14:22 mark. Chris MacKinnon stole the puck from the Greyhounds and Michael Catenacci finished things off to mark the Rangers fourth goal of the evening. MacKinnon followed up with his own goal seconds later, putting Kitchener up 5-3. Morin finished things off with an empty net goal at the 19:19 mark.
The Rangers travel to Brampton on Thursday, October 29th for a 7:00pm game. They return to The Aud Friday, October 30th to face the Erie Otters. Game time is 7:30pm.
