Crunch Announce Details Of Metalico 'scrappiest Player Of The Year' Award

Syracuse, NY (October 21, 2009) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today the details of the Metalico 'Scrappiest Player of the Year' award.

Through a season long voting campaign, fans will have the opportunity to select the Metalico 'Scrappiest Player of the Year'. Fans will be encouraged to vote for the player they feel best exemplifies the 'scrappiest' qualities.

The player with the most votes at the end of the season will be named the Metalico 'Scrappiest Player of the Year' and be presented with the award in an on-ice ceremony prior to the last home game of the season on April 10 vs. Rochester. The award will be created by Metalico and consist of molded scrap metal which has been collected at their facility.

Fans can cast their vote on the Crunch's official website, www.syracusecrunch.com.

The Crunch host regional rivals Binghamton on Friday, October 23 and Rochester on Saturday, October 24 at 7:30 p.m. at the War Memorial at Oncenter.
