
Knights Acquire Pieter Schinkelshoek

LONDON, ONTARIO: London Knights General Manager Mark Hunter today announced that the team has acquired Right Winger Pieter Schinkelshoek from the Ottawa 67s. In exchange for Schinkelshoek the London Knights traded Sudburys 6th Round Pick in the 2010 Ontario Hockey League Draft to Ottawa.
Schinkelshoek, 17 was the Ottawa 67s 2nd Round Choice in the 2008 Ontario Hockey League Draft from the London Jr. Knights AAA Minor Hockey Organization. He is a native of London, Ontario and attends London Lucas High School. Schinkelshoek is expected to arrive for tomorrows practice at the John Labatt Centre.
The London Knights return to action on Friday, October 16, 2009 when they host the Barrie Colts at 7:30 PM at the John Labatt Centre. The Knights also host the Kingston Frontenacs on Sunday, October 18, 2009 at 2 PM. A few hundred seats are available for Sundays game vs. Kingston.
