MCALLEN, TEXAS - The NBA D-League Rio Grande Valley Vipers announced today that Houston Rockets stars Tracy McGrady and Aaron Brooks will be coming to the RGV Rocket Launch ahead of the rest of the team, making a special appearance during the awards ceremony for the 3-on-3 Tournament, NBA Live Tournament and Snake Pit Auditions at 5:30 p.m. at the McAllen Convention Center on Saturday.Â
A seven-time All-Star, McGrady led the NBA in scoring during the 2002-03 and 2003-04 seasons. Entering his sixth season with the Rockets, McGrady has averaged 22.1 points per game during his career. Brooks, who was assigned to the Rio Grande Valley during the 2007-08 season, averaged 23.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game in two contests, both at Dodge Arena, for the Vipers. Brooks averaged 11.2 points and 3.0 assists per game for the Rockets during the regular season before scoring 16.8 points and dishing out 3.4 assists per game during the playoffs.
