CHIVAS USA STARTS BUSY WEEK ON WEDNESDAY IN SALT LAKE, FINISHES WITH HONDA SUPER CLÁSICO ON SATURDAY: After earning a second consecutive 2-0 victory this past Saturday against Toronto FC at The Home Depot Center, Chivas USA hits the road for a midweek matchup against Real Salt Lake on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. PT (7:00 p.m. MT). The match will be broadcast live on FS West and W Radio 690 AM as the Red-and-White make their first trip to Rio Tinto Stadium since the 2008 MLS Cup playoffs. The team then returns to Los Angeles to play an "away" match this Saturday, Aug. 29 in the third and final Honda Super Clásico of the 2009 season. The match is home for the Galaxy, who will handle all ticketing and credentialing for the game. Chivas USA then breaks until its next league game, which takes place on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 12:00 noon PT against the New England Revolution at The Home Depot Center. JESÚS PADILLA AND MAICON SANTOS DEBUT IN CHIVAS USA'S 2-0 WIN: A pair of new acquisitions and two goals from a familiar face gave Chivas USA a 2-0 victory over Toronto FC on Saturday night at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. Jesús Padilla and Maicon Santos, both acquired on loan in the week leading up to the match, were in the starting lineup, and midfielder Sacha Kljestan scored his first two goals of the season in the win. Santos even assisted on Kljestan's second goal. Goalkeeper Lance Parker earned his first career MLS shutout as the Red-and-White moved into a tie for third place in the Western Conference with a 10-7-3 (W-L-T) record on the season.

GUADALAJARA UPDATE: CHIVAS FALLS IN CANCUN AGAINST ATLANTE FC: Chivas de Guadalajara fell to Atlante this weekend by a 3-1 score in Mexican First Division action this past Saturday, with the only goal for Guadalajara from Javier ‘El Chicharito' Hernandez. The defeat leaves Guadalajara with one win and three losses so far this season, with the team returning home this Saturday to host Pachuca.
