HAMMERHEADS FALL TO CARDINALS 4-2 JUPITER, FL- The Palm Beach Cardinals (16-20) beat the Jupiter Hammerheads (15-24) by a score of 4-2 tonight at Roger Dean Stadium. Palm Beach got a strong outing from George Brown (1-3), who allowed two runs on three hits and struck out four. Jaime Garcia, who is with the Cardinals on a Major League Rehab Assignment, pitched three scoreless innings and struck out five Hammerheads.
Elih Villanueva (7-10) struggled and allowed four runs on eight hits. Left-fielder Chris Swauger was 2-for-4 with two RBIs (23). Catcher Charles Cutler also added two hits for Palm Beach.
Spike McDougall continues to swing the bat well and finished 2-for-2 with a home run (3) and two RBIs (14).
The two teams continue their four-game series tomorrow at Roger Dean Stadium. Jeff Allison is slated to take the mound for Jupiter. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM.
