
Ducks Celebrate 10th Anniversary

Central Islip, N.Y., July 30, 2009) - On August 9th, the Long Island Ducks will celebrate the club's 10th Anniversary, welcoming members of the All-Time team selected by fans to the park and handing out All-Time Team card sets to the first 1,500 fans, courtesy of Nicolock, during a 5:05 p.m. game against the Somerset Patriots. Following the Bethpage Federal Credit Union pre-game autograph session, members of the All-Time team and other special guests will be on hand for a pre-game ceremony and walk down memory lane.
The Ducks All-Time team includes catcher Francisco Morales, first baseman Doug Jennings, second baseman Carlos Hernandez, third baseman Carlos Baerga, Shortstop Edgardo Alfonzo, outfielders Kimera Bartee, Justin Davies and Jason Johnson, designated hitter Pat Lennon, utility player Ray Navarrete, starting pitcher Randy Leek and closer Billy Simas.
August 9, 2009 also marks the Five-Year Anniversary of the Ducks' first ever playoff-clinch in a classic showdown against Cross-Sound rival Bridgeport, which will be commemorated with video highlights of the teams dramatic win shown throughout the afternoon.
The special day will be capped off by Kids Run the Bases following the game, presented by Bethpage Federal Credit Union.
