Winnipeg Blue Bombers News Release
The Blue Bombers have acquired import offensive lineman Thaddeus Coleman from the Edmonton Eskimos in return for import defensive back Willie Amos.
Coleman (6-8, 310, Mississippi Valley State, DOB: June 20, 1985 in Waukegan, IL) spent his first CFL season on Edmonton's practice roster last year after signing with the Eskimos on Sept. 16, 2008.
At Mississippi Valley State, Coleman made the switch from tight end to the offensive line, and it paid off when he earned First Team All-Southwestern Athletic Conference honours after his junior and senior campaigns
"He's a guy that has the potential to provide depth at that position. He has been able to play both left and right tackle. I had the opportunity to see Coleman grow as a player when he first entered the league as a rookie last year in Edmonton," said head coach Mike Kelly.
