Moncton Wildcats News Release

Moncton, NB - The first six Wildcats Alumni players have been confirmed for the Moncton Wildcats Alumni Charity Golf Classic, set for June 26th at the Memramcook Golf Club.

Goaltender Josh Torjdman, who was outstanding in the Wildcats nets during the 2006 QMJHL championship and Memorial Cup, will be back with a driver replacing his goalie's paddle. From the same squad, to show off their fairway play, will be outstanding defensemen Andrew MacDonald and Nathan Welton. Up front, with deadly putters, will be sniper Stephane Goulet, supported by goal scorer Adam Pineault and workhorse two way player and former captain Christian Gaudet.

Each year a charity or community cause will be selected to benefit from the funds raised. The Luc Bourdon Foundation has been chosen as the beneficiary of this year's Classic. Bourdon, was a member of the Wildcats when they captured the Presidents Cup for the first time in May 2006. He tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident outside his home town of Shippagan, May 29th last year.

The charity classic will feature 36 teams of four players with a Wildcats alumni making up the fifth player for each team. Individual registration will be $100.00 or $400 per team. Registration includes the round of golf, prizes and a buffet dinner.

A live auction, which is open to the public, will be held at the Memramcook Resort following dinner.
