Sunday Is Family Fun Day At Freedom

FLORENCE, KY - Autographs, running the bases, a pre-game parade for kids and good old fashion baseball is what makes a Sunday Florence Freedom home game so enjoyable for the family.

With Family Fun Sundays, kids can enjoy special ticket prices by signing up for the John Morrell Freedom Fighters Kid's Club. This exclusive club includes a ticket to all seven Sunday games, a Kid's Club t-shirt, membership card, 10% off in the team shop, a Kid's Club button for inflatable use and more for just $10.

Other Family Fun Sunday promotions include two bobblehead give-a-ways. First on August 9, the Covington Catholic graduate and Freedom infielder Tim Grogan bobblehead courtesy of Grandview Tavern and Grill, Laura's Closet, University of Cincinnati Orthopedics and Shelter Insurance will be given out to the first 1,000 fans wearing Freedom apparel.

The second will be on August 23 and feature former Big Red Machine stand out George Foster. Bobbleheads will be given to the first 1,000 adults through the gates wearing Freedom apparel or all kids 12 and under.

The rest of the Family Fun Sunday schedule includes the honoring of DARE graduates on May 31.

On June 14, the Florence policeman and firefighters will battle in the 'Guns and Hoses' softball game to raise support for juvenile diabetes starting at 3:30 p.m. Prior to the Freedom game that night, a custom motorcycle show supporting the Children's Home of Covington will be on the concourse. June 14 is also a city of Florence night, residents can receive four tickets to the game, four hot dogs, four soft drinks, four bags of chips and four Freedom logo baseballs for $60 with valid ID.

Salute to our Troops night will follow two Sundays later on June 28. Area businesses can help sponsor tickets that night for Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati Area troops. The night is also a WNKR Country Showcase Night.

The second annual weiner dog races invade Champion Window Field on July 12 for 'Bark in the Park,' and Healthcare Workers Appreciation Night will be held on July 26.
