Adirondack Phantoms News Release

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia Phantoms players Michael Ratchuk, David Laliberte and Rob Sirianni will be taking part in the Easter Seals 28th Annual "Cones for Kids" campaign this Wednesday night.

The players will be featured in a Family Fun Night at the Friendly's Restaurant in the Village at Painters Crossing, located at the intersection of Route 1 and Route 202 just south of West Chester. They'll be handing out balloons, thanking patrons and helping scoop ice cream to raise awareness for Easter Seals disability services. There will be face painting and plenty of fun for the whole family from 5:30 - 7:30 PM.

Since 1981, "Cones for Kids" has been a winter tradition up-and-down the East Coast. Each year, employees across the Friendly's restaurant chain help change the lives of thousands of children with disabilities through their efforts. The program has raised $25.2 million to date, and raised more than $619,000 in 2008 alone.

Friendly's provides restaurant guests with five Valentine's Day cards that are redeemable for free Friendly's Kid Cones, plus a $5 off a $25 purchase coupon for parents. This year's campaign began on January 5 and runs through February 13.

The Phantoms take the ice at home three times this week - Tuesday at 7:05 against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Friday at 7:05 against Hershey and Sunday at 5:05 against Bridgeport. The Phantoms are hosting a sports job fair on Tuesday, the annual Teddy Bear Toss on Friday and the annual Photo Night on Sunday.
