Adirondack Phantoms News Release
PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Phantoms and Comcast SportsNet are pleased to announce that the network will televise two upcoming Phantoms games. The first telecast will be on Friday, January 23 when the Phantoms host the Manchester Monarchs, with the second coming on Friday, February 20 when the club hosts the Portland Pirates. Both games will be broadcast live from the Wachovia Spectrum and will begin at 7:00.
Once again this year, Flyers radio broadcaster Tim Saunders will handle the play-by-play for the telecasts, working alongside color commentator and former Flyer Orest Kindrachuk. They return for their eighth season calling Phantoms telecasts.
Broadcast plans have also been finalized for the 2009 AHL All-Star Classic presented by Charter Communications. The Comcast Network (formerly CN8) in Philadelphia will carry the 2009 AHL All-Star Game live on Monday, January 26 at 7 p.m. It will also be replayed on Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia on Thursday, January 29 at 7 p.m. The AHL Skills Competition will be aired on Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia on Sunday, January 25 on a tape-delayed basis at 11:00 PM.
The Phantoms are halfway through the 42nd and final hockey season at the Spectrum. Through a partnership with Babies 'R Us, all tickets for kids 14 and under are just $5 for the rest of the season, up to and including the final regular season game in the building in April.
Individual tickets for all remaining games are available now exclusively through ComcastTIX through phantomshockey.com or by calling 1-800-298-4200. Fans can guarantee access to tickets for the final game by purchasing a partial season-ticket package, which are available in increments of as low as six games. More information on ticket packages is available by calling the Phantoms at 215-465-4522.
