Komets add Leo Thomas to roster

Fort Wayne, IN - The Komets announced Tuesday that forward Leo Thomas has been added to the Fort Wayne roster. The six-year veteran has skated the last two seasons as a member of the Bloomington PrairieThunder.

Thomas, 26, skated three seasons with Flint in the UHL from 2003 to 2006 before jumping to the CHL with Laredo for 2006-07.

The Toronto native appeared in 71 games last season with the Thunder scoring 21 goals and 62 points while accumulating 127 penalty minutes. Thomas started nine games this season with Bloomington posting four goals and adding two assists for six points.

Thomas is in Fort Wayne and practicing with the Komets and is expected to be in the lineup this weekend. The Komets play at Flint Friday night at 7:30 and return home to host Bloomington Saturday at 7:30pm.
