Generals at home for three this week

FLINT MI - Home Sweet Home... That's what the Flint Generals are hoping will be the case at the cozy confines of Perani Arena and Event Center with three home games. The Blue and Gold hope to snap a five game winless drought and post their first home-ice win since November 20th. It starts on Thursday night when the Generals host the Kalamazoo Wings who had their eight game winning streak snapped at the hands of the Bloomington Prairie Thunder. Game time is 7 pm. It's Faith Night and churches are invited to bring out their church groups for a terrific night. It's also 4 for $44 Thursday as fans can get 4 end zone tickets, four hotdogs and 4 44-ounce Coca-Cola products for just $44. It's also another $1 draft beer night. On Friday, the Generals host the Fort Wayne Komets at 7:30 pm. It will be the fourth meeting of the season between the two sides that saw the Komets win 5-4 in their last confrontation. There will be a post game jersey auction of the fan's choice of home or road jerseys. Those player jerseys that will be auctioned off include Justin Styffe, John DiPace, Jordan Alford, Justin DePretis, Matt Elich, Nick Bet, Dan McNeil, Mike Alexiou, Jan Jas and Joshua Fauth. After a rare Saturday night off, the Generals round out their weekend of play with a date against the Bloomington Prairiethunder on Sunday at 4 pm. Bloomington forward Don Parsons is just three goals away from tying Kevin Kerr from the all-time minor professional hockey league record for most goals. Sunday is the first Season Ticket holder ticket exchange night and fans can redeem unused tickets from October and November. Group tickets for 15 or more can be purchased by calling the Generals Corporate Office at 742-9422.

Broadcast line-up: All three games can be found on the Generals Hockey Network this week on Unforgettable 1470 WFNT and www.flintgenerals.com. Thursday's game begins with Countdown to Face-off at 6:40 pm. The puck drop is at 7 pm. On Friday the pre-game sets up the game at 7:10 pm and then the face-off at 7;30 pm. Sunday's broadcast will have pre-game show coverage at 3:40 pm with the puck drop at 4 pm.
