
Otters fall to Wolves

SUDBURY, Ont. - Eric O'Dell scored a goal and an assist to lead the Sudbury Wolves to a 5-1 win over the Erie Otters in an Ontario Hockey League game played tonight in front of 4,136 at the Sudbury Arena. Marcus Foligno, Tyler Sheldrake, John McFarland and Patrik Lusnak also scored for the Wolves, who posted their second straight win to move to 8-5-1-1 on the season. Mike Cazzola (with his second in as many games) netted the lone Otters goal. Erie saw a two-game winning streak end and are now 7-9-1-0 on the season. Sudbury led 2-0 after one and 4-1 heading into the third. Jaroslav Janus started and allowed four goals on 21 shots through the first 40 minutes. Shane Owen played the third and surrendered one goal on 17 shots. The Wolves out shot the Otters 38-36 in the game. The three stars of the game were all from the Wolves. O'Dell was the first; goaltender Andrew Loverock the second and Sheldrake the third.
The next Otters home game takes place this Wednesday when the Barrie Colts visit the Tullio Arena in a 7 p.m. start. UPMC Health Plan, General Partitions, Meineke, Dusckas Martin Funeral Home, Wendy's, Bay Valley Foods and Star 104 presents Hockey for the Hungry Night in support of the Second Harvest Food Bank as fans are encouraged to donate a non-perishable food item to receive a free ticket to the game (limit four tickets per person). Otters Hockey for the Hungry collection bins will be located at the Otters Office (809 French Street), Wendy's (I-90, Peach St., French St. and Edinboro locations), the Eastside YMCA and Bethel Christian School (located at 1781 West 38th St.) leading up to the game. In addition, on Wednesday, November 5th the Second Harvest Food Bank and Star 104 will be collecting non-perishable food items in front of the Boston Store from 7 a.m. until noon. Items will also be accepted leading up to the game in the Civic Center Box Office Lobby. Each person who donates at any location will receive a free ticket coupon redeemable at the Civic Center Box Office.
