Cable 14 To Broadcast 18 Bulldogs Games Live

HAMILTON, ON - In partnership with Cable 14 and Mohawk College, the Hamilton Bulldogs announced today that all 40 home games and five away games will be televised on Cable 14.
Cable 14 will air live broadcasts 12 of club's 39 home games at Copps Coliseum as well as the Bulldogs' November 30th, 2008 home game at Bell Centre in Montreal. In addition, in a joint venture with Mohawk College, Cable 14 will broadcast the 27 Hamilton Bulldogs' home games not being shown live in their entirety as 'Dogs-in-an-Hour at 11:00 p.m. on the night of the game.
Cable 14 will also carry Rogers Television's live coverage of five Hamilton Bulldogs versus Toronto Marlies games at Ricoh Coliseum.
All regular season and post-season broadcasts can also be heard live on the Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Network (Talk 820, www.hamiltonbulldogs.com).
"'Dogs-in-an-Hour, which is a unique concept that will provide Hamilton Bulldogs fans with 60 minutes of straight hockey, is a project we have been working on for quite some time and we think there is a huge appetite for this type of programming based on today's busy lifestyle", stated Cable 14 General Manager Brent Rickert. "Like the game itself, 'Dogs-in-an-Hour is a team effort as it involves the collective efforts of the hockey club, Mohawk College, Cable 14 and Talk 820 to make it all happen."
"Many of our graduates that have gone on to successful careers broadcasting professional sports developed their skills covering the Hamilton Bulldogs home games," said Patrick Hanson, Professor, Mobile Production in the Broadcasting Television and Communications Media, Mohawk College. "Partnering with Cable 14 to bring Hamilton Bulldogs fans 'Dogs-in-an-Hour will provide our students an additional element of reality that will further strengthen this extraordinary educational experience."
Play-By-Play Announcer Todd Crocker, Colour Commentator Norm Miller and Host / Reporter Laura Leigh will call all 13 of Cable 14's live broadcasts of Hamilton Bulldogs home games in 2008-2009, while the call of Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Network Play-By-Play Announcer Derek Wills and Colour Commentator Al Craig will be heard on all of Cable 14's 'Dogs-in-an-Hour broadcasts this season.

The Hamilton Bulldogs home opener takes place Friday, October 17th at 7:30 p.m. versus the Hartford Wolf Pack at Copps Coliseum. On Saturday, October 18th, the 'Dogs welcome the Norfolk Admirals to Copps Coliseum for the first time in 13 years for a 7:00 p.m. match-up.
