Somerset Patriots Unveil Four-Time Champions Logo

Bridgewater, NJ- The Four-Time Atlantic League Champion Somerset Patriots have unveiled a logo to commemorate the team's four championship seasons.
The logo, designed by Supreme Lithographers of Warren, NJ and Painton Studios of Middlesex, NJ, will be used on merchandise and throughout the team's marketing efforts for the 2009 season.
The logo uses the Patriots colors of dark blue, dark red, and silver. The Atlantic League trophy is in the center of a silver shield with the championship years in reverse order surrounding it. The Patriots primary logo is prominently visible at the top of the logo and 4-Time Champions in white writing on a red banner stretches across the center of the logo.
The Patriots clinched their league record fourth championship in 2008 by defeating the Camden Riversharks 3-1 in the Championship Series. Game Four was won on a walk off solo home run by catcher Travis Anderson of Flemington, NJ in the bottom of the ninth inning for a 3-2 win at Commerce Bank Ballpark.
The Patriots won their first championship in 2001 when they defeated the Newark Bears 3-2, winning three straight to come from an 0-2 deficit in the series. The 2001 team finished 83-43 for the season, still a league record for most wins in a season.
Somerset won again in 2003, defeating the Nashua Pride 3-2, after sweeping the Riversharks in the Divisional Series 2-0.
The Patriots went on to win their third championship in 2005, sweeping the Pride 3-0. The Patriots advanced by beating the Atlantic City Surf 2-1 in the Divisional Series that year.
