Spokane Chiefs News Release

Spokane forward Drayson Bowman has been returned to the team by the Carolina Hurricanes and is expected to be in the lineup this week when the Chiefs play four games in five nights. The 19-year-old spent two weeks at the NHL team's camp and appeared in three pre-season games with the 'Canes.

Bowman comes back for his fourth season in Spokane after leading the team in goals (42) and points (80) last year. Spokane's first round selection in 2004 was named the Chiefs Player of the Year in 2007-08. The Littleton, Colorado native has scored 83 career goals, 21st in franchise history, and was the Hurricanes third round selection in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

Spokane will travel to Kamloops and Chilliwack on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively, before playing at home on Friday against Everett. The week will finish with a Saturday trip to Seattle. All four games begin at 7:00 with Comcast Hockey Tonight beginning at 6:30 with Mike Boyle on 1510 KGA.

The first 3,000 fans through the gates, and all full season ticket holders in attendance, will receive a magnet schedule courtesy of The Black Book by Hagadone Directories.

Tickets for all games are available by calling the Chiefs office at (509) 535-PUCK or TicketsWest at (800) 325-SEAT.

CHIEFS REASSIGN WRIGHT - ROSTER AT 25

The Spokane Chiefs have reassigned goaltender Alex Wright to Prince George of the BCHL. The 18-year-old was acquired from Prince George of the WHL in the pre-season and did not appear in a regular season game.

The move leaves the Chiefs with two goaltenders, and 25 players on their roster including nine defenseman and 14 forwards.

Three veterans are still away as Justin Falk is still with the Minnesota Wild, Trevor Glass with the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL and Ondrej Roman is awaiting his release from the Czech Republic.
