Saint John Sea Dogs News Release
SAINT JOHN, NB --- Saint John Sea Dogs President Wayne Long announced today the team's promotional schedule for the remainder of the 2008-2009 campaign. Several theme nights, promotional giveaways, and unique fundraising initiatives highlight the team's home schedule throughout the rest of the season.
"We had a great start to our year this past weekend," said Long. "Our fans came out in full force for our Opening Weekend and we hope that our 2008-2009 promotional schedule will help keep that momentum going all season long."
Exciting game promotions for the remaining six months of Saint John's regular season include three bobble head giveaway nights sponsored by Irving Oil, the first New Year's Eve game in Sea Dogs history, a pair of country-themed matches, the always-popular Hockey Night in Saint John, and a game in which fans will be encouraged to show off their creativity by bringing their best home-made signs to Harbour Station.
"The game promotions we'll be having this season promise to be of exceptional quality," says Sea Dogs Game Day Coordinator Mark Gamble. "We're introducing some premium giveaway items this year and we also have some fun new theme nights that we feel our fans will really be entertained by."
Every Sunday game for the rest of the season will feature a guaranteed 50/50 jackpot of $2,000 as well as a Shoot-to-Win intermission contest in which one lucky fan will have the opportunity to win hundreds of dollars in Irving money by succeeding in an on-ice, hockey-related skills challenge.
