
Spirit and Hounds Tie for Second Straight in Exhibition

(Saginaw, MI) The Saginaw Spirit took on the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds Saturday night in the second exhibition game of the 2008-2009 hockey season. The game ended tied 2-2.
Spirit center Tyler Murovich tallied the first point of the game with a power play goal at 3:27 into the first period. The goal was assisted by center Barry Sanderson and winger Jordan Szwarz.
Contributing to the scoring efforts was Spirit winger Joe Pleckaitis, scoring a goal at 5:32 in the first period. The power play goal was assisted by defenseman Brad Walch and center Jack Combs, advancing Saginaw 2 - 0.
Sault Ste. Marie winger Behn Robertson added a point for the Greyhounds in the second period with an assist from winger Jordan Carroll at 17:15. Center Matt Lyall assisted winger James Livingston at 16:32 in the third period, scoring the final goal for the Greyhounds. The two teams finished the game tied, 2 - 2.
The Spirit will host the London Knights for their home opener on Wednesday, September 15, at 7:11 PM.
