All's Square in Love and War...Bowie evened this best-of-five Southern Division Championship Series at a game apiece last night, thanks to a dominating 11-3 win over the Aeros at Prince George's Stadium. Nolan Reimold was the star for the Baysox, hitting three home runs and driving in eight all by himself. His two-run blast in the bottom of the first erased an early 1-0 deficit, and he followed that with a solo shot in the fourth and an RBI single in the sixth. The native of Greenville, PA (about 45 minutes northeast of Youngstown) then capped his night in the biggest way possible, socking a grand slam over the wall in right-center in the bottom of the eighth. Reimold has four of Bowie's six home runs in the first two games of this series, and became Bowie's post-season home run record holder with his performance last night (passing current Indians outfielder David Dellucci).

The Joshua Tree...Aeros 2B Josh Rodriguez had a nice night, going 2-4 with a triple and two runs scored at the top of the order although the 2-9 hitters were just a combined 3-27 behind him. Rodriguez opened last night's contest with a ringing triple to straightaway center field on an 0-2 mistake from Baysox starter Brad Bergesen, and RF Bronson Sardinha promptly took advantage of the RBI opportunity by bouncing an RBI grounder to short to put the Aeros in front by a run. The duo combined again for Akron's second tally in the sixth, as Rodriguez reached on a fielder's choice and then hustled all the way to third when the throw from Carlos Rojas bounded down the right field line, and Sardinha followed with another run-scoring grounder to short.

He's Human...Akron's game two starter J.D. Martin had been an absolute machine for the Aeros throughout the month of August, allowing just a solo home run to Altoona's Jose Tabata in 23.2 innings, translating to a hard-to-see 0.38 ERA. Last night was a different story for the native of Ridgecrest, CA however, as the Baysox got to the right-hander for five runs (three earned) and seven hits in five innings of work. Martin struck out three and also walked a season-high three hitters; it was the first time he had walked three in a game since May 25th of last year (his last start of the season before being shut down with a strained right elbow).

Hafner in the House...Indians DH Travis Hafner will continue his rehab assignment at Canal Park tonight. The native of Jamestown, ND will hit cleanup and serve as the designated hitter tonight, and will get four at-bats. A decision on whether or not he will play for the Aeros in game four tomorrow night will be made after the game.
