
FC Dallas Acquires Allocation Money from KC in Exchange for Abe Thompson

FRISCO, Texas (Friday, September 5, 2008) - FC Dallas today acquired allocation money from the Kansas City Wizards in exchange for forward Abe Thompson.
Thompson was selected by Dallas in the 2nd Round of the 2005 MLS Supplemental Draft (16th overall). In four seasons with the team, Thompson started 32 of the 69 regular season games in which he appeared and scored 14 goals while adding 11 assists. His six goals in 11 career U.S. Open Cup games for Dallas are most in team history. In 2008, he scored three regular season goals in 13 games (four starts), and two Open Cup goals in two games.
