
Francoeur Returns to Mississippi

Mississippi Braves News Release
The Atlanta Braves announced Friday that OF Jeff Francoeur and OF Matt Diaz have been assigned to AA Mississippi. Francoeur was optioned to Mississippi, while Diaz will be in Mississippi to start his Major League rehab assignment. Both players will be in Mississippi tonight and throughout the upcoming four-game homestand. In corresponding moves, former M-Brave Jason Perry was promoted from Richmond to Atlanta and OF Reid Gorecki was promoted to AAA Richmond.
Perry is now the 30th Mississippi Brave to make it to the big leagues.
Mississippi's roster now has 24 active players with one player on the disabled list and one Major League rehab.
