Northwest Arkansas Naturals News Release

Springdale resident Quentin Skelton will throw one of the ceremonial first pitches prior to Thursday night's Naturals game against San Antonio at Arvest Ballpark. Skelton, 87, was a member of the 12th Armored "Mystery" Division of the United States Army, who were involved in the liberating of concentration camp detainees during World War II. Mr. Skelton fought along side General George Patton's 3rd Army.

Skelton was selected for this opportunity by Big Dan Hentschel's Morning Show on US94. The Naturals are excited to have Mr. Skelton, who served our country faithfully, be honored in front of his neighbors, family, and friends.

Tomorrow's game will be a 6:00 start for our Independence Eve Celebration, which will feature a post-game performance by the North Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, followed by a spectacular fireworks show.

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are the Double-A Texas League affiliate of the Kansas City Royals and play at state-of-the-art Arvest Ballpark, located in Springdale. The Naturals have a toll-free ticket hotline (1-877-444-2637) for fans to purchase Naturals tickets. Our website also offers fans the opportunity to purchase tickets online and avoid lines at the ticket windows by printing their tickets at home or at the office.
