July 2, 2008 - The Tulsa Drillers and Minor League Baseball have announced plans to help the many victims of the recent flooding in the Midwestern United States. The Drillers will donate 50¢ from each ticket sold for their game on Friday, July 4 to directly help those affected by the floods in the Iowa minor league cities of Burlington, Cedar Rapids, Des Moines and Davenport.

In addition, the office of Minor League Baseball has donated $50,000 to the effort.

"The pictures we have all seen from the flooding along the Mississippi River are tragic," said Drillers President Chuck Lamson. "We hope that by donating funds from our ticket sales, we can provide forms of aid and relief for some of the families affected by these floods."

The Drillers will play the Corpus Christi Hooks at 7:05PM in the July 4th game. There will be an Independence Day Fireworks Display following the game.

The Principal Financial Group Family Fun Fest will be operating in the stadium parking lot from 4:00PM until the start of the game. The Fun Fest provides free midway-style, baseball games and features for fans of all ages.

Ticket prices for the Flood Relief Game are $9.50 for Box Seats, $7.50 for Reserved Seats and $6.00 for General Admission Seats.

Tickets can be purchased at TulsaDrillers.com or by calling (918)744-5901.
