Omaha Storm Chasers News Release
OMAHA, NE - The Omaha Royals and 89-7 The River are looking for "Kids Who Rock." If you know of any kid between ages 7-17 who help out in the community through volunteer work, or just helping out their neighbors, you can nominate them in the new promotion. Weekly winners will be announced every Friday morning on 89-7 The River and will receive a prize package including free tickets to a Royals game in August when they'll be honored on the field at Rosenblatt Stadium.
Get a nomination form by going to www.oroyals.com or www.897theriver.com, or in person at the Rosenblatt Stadium ticket office Monday-Friday from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Nominees must be between the ages of 7-17 between May 5th and August 25th, 2008.
Every Friday morning at 9:20 a.m. the Morning Fiasco on 89-7 The River will announce that week's winner. The winners will get a prize package full of all kinds of music, gift certificates from local businesses for food, and four tickets to the Royals game on Monday, August 25th at 7:05 p.m. vs. the New Orleans Zephyrs. Plus, the person nominating a "Kids Who Rock" winner will receive two tickets to that game, which is the Royals final Monday night home game in 2008. All season long at Monday night home games, hot dogs are just $1.00, courtesy of 89-7 The River and The Daily Nonpareil.
"We're excited about having the new partnership with 89-7 The River," said Royals Marketing Director Rob Crain. "This is a really cool promotion to honor area youth."
