DERICK ARMSTRONG
ACQUIRED - The Blue Bombers signed Armstrong as a free agent on Sept. 19, 2006.
2007 (WPG) - Following a brief cameo with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2006, Armstrong took on a starring role in '07 in his first full season with the team. He started 17 regular season games, missing one due to injury. Armstrong led the team in receptions with 83 catches, including six for TDs, and finished second in receiving yardage with 1,142 yards during the regular season. His 83 receptions were third best in the CFL while his 1,142 yards ranked him fourth in the league. Armstrong had his best game of the season in the Labour Day Classic in Regina. He hauled in 13 passes for 205 yards and two TDs in a losing cause. Meanwhile, Armstrong had one catch for four yards in the Bombers' 24-22 win over the Montreal Alouettes in the East Division Semi-final. He was QB Kevin Glenn's favourite target in the East Division final, catching five passes for 89 yards in a 19-9 win over the Toronto Argonauts. He showed his explosiveness in the 2007 Grey Cup in Toronto, hauling in a 50-yard TD reception from QB Ryan Dinwiddie in a 23-19 loss to the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Armstrong's outstanding performance didn't go unnoticed. He was named to the East Division and CFL All-Star teams.
2006 (WPG) - Bomber fans were left saying better later than never after Armstrong joined the club in mid-September as a free agent. In five regular season games with the Blue & Gold he hauled in 25 passes for 302 yards for a 12.1-yard average and three TDs. His 302 yards were still fifth-best on the football club. Armstrong's best individual performance of the season was an 11-catch, 129 yard effort on Oct. 15 in Hamilton against the Tiger-Cats, a game in which he also scored one TD. Armstrong also shone in the Bombers' Nov. 5 Scotiabank East Semi-final loss to the Argonauts in Toronto. He led the team in receptions (five) and receiving yards (77) in that game. He was twice named the CJOB Player of the Game (Sept. 29 vs Montreal, Oct. 15 @ Hamilton).

TERRENCE EDWARDS
ACQUIRED - The Blue Bombers signed Edwards as a free agent on May 24, 2007.
2007 (WPG) - Edwards came into his own as one of the CFL's elite pass-catchers. Playing in all 18 regular season games for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, he led the team in receiving yardage with 1,280 yards on 80 receptions. That total ranked him second in the league behind only Geroy Simon of the B.C. Lions (1,293) and was the highest total for a Bomber receiver since Milt Stegall's 1,986-yard performance in 2002. Edwards' 80 receptions ranked him second on the team behind fellow wideout Derick Armstrong and fourth overall in the CFL, while his 16.0 yards-per-catch average was second on the team behind Milt Stegall's 16.1-yard average. He had his best game of the season on Oct. 14 versus the Calgary Stampeders when he hauled in six catches for 157 yards and a TD. Edwards showed his consistency by catching at least one pass in every regular season game, and never went more than two games without catching a TD pass. Edwards kept up his torrid pace in the CFL playoffs, catching nine passes for 90 yards in wins over the Montreal Alouettes in the East Semi-final and the Toronto Argonauts in the East Final. Playing in the second Grey Cup of his CFL career, he added four receptions for 30 yards in a loss to the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Those accomplishments helped him earn berths on the East Division and CFL All-Star teams for the first time in his career.
2006 (MON) - Edwards hauled in 33 passes for 393 yards and one TD catch for the Als, and was credited with two rushes for 18 yards.
2005 (MON) - Edwards had six catches for 44 yards in just two games after signing late in the season with Montreal. He was originally signed by the Toronto Argonauts and attended training camp with the club.
2003 (NFL) - Edwards played six games with the NFL's Atlanta Falcons.
2002 (NFL) - Edwards signed as a free agent with the Atlanta Falcons, but did not see any game action that season.
COLLEGE - Edwards was a college standout with the Georgia Bulldogs. He totaled 3,093 yards and 30 TDs on 204 career receptions between 1999 and 2002. He broke the 1,000-yards receiving mark with the Bulldogs in 2002, when he started 12 of Georgia's 13 games that season.
In other news the football club has released fullback, Gillies Lezli.
