Intimidators return home for a weekend full of fun, May 8th-11th

Kannapolis, NC - The Kannapolis Intimidators return back to Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium, after being on the road for 11 days, for an 8-game home-stand vs. the Lakewood Blue Claws (Phillies) and the Delmarva Shorebirds (Orioles).

The weekend kicks off Thursday, May 8th with Thirsty Thursday and Ladies Night! Thirsty Thursday specials will be "on tap" with $1.25 selected beverages, $1.25 bottled soda, and wings specials courtesy of Wing Street. Ladies arriving at the gate will receive $2.00 off their ticket price and be eligible for great prizes all night. The Intimidators will also host its 1st Annual Cornhole Tournament! The entry fee is $2.00 per team, with the winner taking home a prize. Also, remember every Thursday night is Bike Night at the ballpark. Bikers will receive special discounts and VIP parking! Gates open at 6:00pm with game time at 7:05pm.

The fun continues Friday, May 9th with Post-Game Fireworks courtesy of Freightliner-UAW. North Carolina Education Lottery will also be present at Fieldcrest Cannon stadium, allowing fans to test their luck at any of the lottery's many games. Friday night will also include CMC-Northeast Cardiology Night and YMCA Night. Gates open at 6:00pm with game time at 7:05pm.

The weekend rolls on into Saturday, May 10th with the Intimidators Batting Helmet Giveaway, courtesy of Centralina Orthopaedics, and the Intimidators Salute to John Henry Moss. John Henry Moss was the 1st and only South Atlantic League President reigning over the SAL the past 50 years, until retiring last season. The Intimidators will also honor the citizens of Kings Mountain and highlight upcoming events and facts of the great town. Finally, Crisis Pregnancy Center of Cabarrus County will be at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium collecting diapers, formula, new clothes (newborn-3T and maternity) Bottles, Wipes, and Blankets before the game. Bring one or more of the items listed above and receive a free general admission ticket. Gates open at 6:00pm, with the John Henry Moss Ceremony starting at 6:30pm, and game time at 7:05pm.

Finally, the weekend closes out with Family Fun Day and the Intimidators' Mother's Day Celebration, Sunday May 11th. The Intimidators will honor all mothers in attendance to Sunday's game, as well as hand out prize packages to a few lucky mothers. Family Fun Day will be going on as well, with Pre-Game Intimidators Player Autograph Session as well as Post-Game Kids (12-under) Run the Bases. Gates open at 4:00pm with game time at 5:05pm.
