A complete listing of the promotions for the homestand is below.
It will be the second trip to Tulsa this season for the Travelers, while Northwest Arkansas will be making their first-ever visit to Drillers Stadium. The Naturals relocated to Springdale, Arkansas from Wichita, Kansas during the off-season.
Both the Travelers and Naturals have recovered from slow starts to the season. Arkansas lost its first seven games of the year, while Northwest Arkansas lost 12 of its first 16 games.
After getting to .500 (10-10) with a victory on April 24, the Drillers have gone the other way. The offense struggled over the next ten games, averaging only three runs scored per game.
They are 6-8 in 14 games at Drillers Stadium this season.
It should be a homestand that features speed on the base paths. The Naturals, Drillers and Travs are 1-2-3 in the Texas League in stolen bases.
Tickets for all eight games in the homestand are now available 24 hours a day, seven days a week over the Internet at TulsaDrillers.com. Tickets are also available in person at the Drillers Stadium Ticket Office or over the telephone by calling (918) 744-5901.
NOTES: Drillers Stadium will host the annual Bedlam baseball meeting between the Oklahoma State Cowboys and the Oklahoma Sooners on Friday, May 16. Tickets are still available through the Drillers Ticket Office. . . .Infielder Tony Blanco joined the Drillers on April 29, replacing Eric Young Jr. on the Tulsa roster. Young has been placed on the disabled list with a fractured hamate bone in his wrist. The 26-year-old Blanco has big league experience, playing in 56 games with the Washington Nationals in 2005. . . .The Drillers are 6-10 in games decided by one or two runs. . . Tulsa is batting only .223 with runners in scoring position, while opponents are hitting .273 in the same situation.
