Hens Return Home For Eight-Game Homestand On Thursday

Toledo Mud Hens News Release


The Toledo Mud Hens will return home to the friendly confines of Fifth Third Field on Thursday, May 1 for a stretch of eight (8) games at home over an 8 day period (Thursday-Thursday). This will be the only opportunity for fans to see these two teams from the IL North. Toledo will square off against Rochester (4 games) and Lehigh Valley (4).

Toledo Mud Hens Promotions for May 1-8

Thursday, May 1 (Rochester, 1st pitch at 6:30 PM - Gates open at 5:30) - The Mud Hens will host the Rochester Red Wings for the first, and only time in the 2008 season for a four-game series. The contest between the Hens and the Red Wings can be heard live on Fox Sports Radio 1230 AM.

Friday, May 2 (Rochester, 1st pitch at 7:00 PM - Gates open at 6:00) - Kids will have the chance to meet the Purple Party Dude, Reggy! Stick around after the game for the first fireworks show of the season. The contest between the Hens and the Red Wings can be heard live on Fox Sports Radio 1230 AM and seen live on BCSN.

Saturday, May 3 (Rochester, 1st Pitch at 7:00 PM - Gates open at 6:00) - Saturday is Fifth Third Bank Night; fans can enter to win a monthly payment of their mortgage! It is also Toledo City League Youth & Softball Baseball Night, the High School Home Run Derby (New Riegel HS) will take place after the game, as well as post-game fireworks. It is also a Boy Scout Sleepover night! The contest between the Hens and the Red Wings can be heard live on Fox Sports Radio 1230 AM and seen live on BCSN.

Sunday, May 4 (Rochester, 1st Pitch at 2:00 PM - Gates open at 1:00) - Kids will have the chance to meet Sponge Bob Square Pants! This Sunday is also Red Hat Ladies Day and AAA Safety Patroller's Day. The Safety Patrollers will parade around the field prior to first pitch. A Sunday tradition, Applebee's presents Kids Run The Bases (post-game) and from 1:15-1:45, kids can get free autographs of two (2) Mud Hen players in front of section 119. Monday, May 5 (Lehigh Valley, 1st pitch at 6:30 PM - Gates open at 5:30) - The Mud Hens will host the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs for the first, and only time on the year in this first game of a four-game series. Come celebrate Cinco de Mayo, as the first 3,000 fans will receive a sombrero! The contest between the Hens and the Iron Pigs can be heard live on Fox Sports Radio 1230 AM and seen live on BCSN.

Tuesday, May 6 (Lehigh Valley, 1st pitch at 6:30 PM - Gates open at 5:30) - Stick around after the game as the High School Home Run Derby (Sandusky St. Mary's) will take place. The contest between the Hens and the Iron Pigs can be heard live on Fox Sports Radio 1230 AM and seen live on BCSN.

Wednesday, May 7 (Lehigh Valley, 1st Pitch at 6:30 PM - Gates open at 5:30) - Game three of the four game series with the Iron Pigs. The contest between the Hens and the Iron Pigs can be heard live on Fox Sports Radio 1230 AM and seen live on BCSN.

Thursday, May 8 (Lehigh Valley, 1st Pitch at 6:30 PM - Gates open at 5:30) - The final game of the homestand and the final game of the four-game series with Lehigh Valley. Pre-game festivities will include Oregon Youth Baseball & Softball Night and post-game will feature the High School Home Run Derby (Flat Rock HS). The contest between the Hens and the Iron Pigs can be heard live on Fox Sports Radio 1230 AM.
