The Peoria Chiefs scored twice in the eighth, but lost to the Dayton Dragons 3-2 Tuesday afternoon in front of the 10th largest crowd in O'Brien Field history. The D.A.R.E. Day crowd of 7,869 fans saw the Chiefs rally late but a solo homer from Dayton's Brandon Waring in the ninth was the difference as Peoria left the tying run in scoring position as the game ended. Player of the Game - Nate Samson (SS) - Samson singled in the first and then drove home two runs in the eighth with a bases-loaded single. Nate finished the game 2-for-4 with both Chiefs RBI on the day.
