Seattle Thunderbirds News Release

Seattle, April 24, 2008 - Seattle Thunderbirds general manager Russ Farwell today announced right wing Bud Holloway has signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Los Angeles Kings.

"I am really excited," said Holloway. "This is hopefully the beginning of a good career for me. This is the first step in my pro career and I want to make the most of it."

Holloway was selected by the Kings in the third round, 86th overall, in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. Holloway reported to the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League after the T-Birds season ended. Manchester, the top affiliate of the Kings, was swept 4- 0 in the first round of the Calder Cup playoffs by the Providence Bruins. Holloway was eligible to play in this series but did not see any action.

"Bud has been a great player for us for the last four years," said Farwell. "We are excited for him that he has achieved his goal of moving on to a professional career. I believe he is ready for the next level and we wish him the best of luck."

As per Kings policy, terms of the contract were not announced.

Holloway has played four years in Seattle and registered 95 goals and 102 assists for 197 points in 282 regular season games. He led the T-Birds in scoring this past season with 83 points on 43 goals and 40 assists.

The T-Birds season concluded on Friday, April 11, when the Tri-City Americans defeated the T-Birds, 4-1, in their best-of-seven second round playoff series.
