Beloit Sky Carp News Release

Four runs in the last three innings helped the Timber Rattlers claim game two of the three-game series, 5-3. Beloit's Spencer Steedley picked up the loss allowing two runs off three hits.

The Snappers got things going early behind another home run from Steve Singleton in the bottom of the first. Singleton hit his second dinger in as many days over the right field wall. Steve's homer also scored Joe Benson, who earlier singled, and gave the Snaps an early 2-0 lead.

Beloit scored another run in the bottom of the third inning on a Garrett Olson RBI single to center. Olson scored Joe Benson from second and pushed them ahead 3-0 after three.

That would be all she wrote for the Snappers, however, as they would be held scoreless the remainder of the game.

Wisconsin got one run in the top of the fourth, two in the seventh, one in the eighth and one in the ninth to take the second game of the series, 5-3.

Beloit's David Bromberg had an impressive showing, going six strong innings and only allowing two runs off two hits. David also struck out five Timber Rattlers.
