Teasley, Mystics Part Ways

Washington, D.C. -General Manager Linda Hargrove announced today that guard Nikki Teasley and the team have agreed to part ways. Teasley spent the last two seasons with the team.

"We are thankful to Nikki for her two seasons of service with the Mystics and wish her only the best in her future endeavors," said Hargrove.

In 2007, Teasley averaged 5.2 points per game and 3.3 assists per game. Teasley was traded to the Mystics in 2006 following four seasons with the Los Angeles Sparks.

"I am grateful to have been part of a world class organization such as the Mystics and wish them nothing but the best," said Teasley.

The Washington Mystics will tip off the 2008 season on Saturday, May 17th, on the road against the Indiana Fever. Washington will host the club's home opener on Sunday, May 25th against the four-time WNBA Champion, Houston Comets at 4:00 p.m. Season tickets for the 2008 season are currently on sale and can be purchased by calling the Mystics Sales Office at 1-877-DC-HOOP1 or by visiting the Mystics web site at www.washingtonmystics.com.
