PEORIA, AZ - Kiel Thibault had four hits and three RBI's on Saturday, leading the Northwest Arkansas Naturals to a 14-4 victory over the San Antonio Missions, the San Diego Padres' Double-A affiliate. The game evens the Naturals spring training record at 1-1.

Julio Pimental, expected to hold down one of the Naturals' rotation slots to begin the season, tossed three scoreless innings, yielding just one hit and a walk. Matt Peterson had 2 2/3 innings of scoreless relief.

First Baseman Miguel Vega had a double and a home run along with four RBI. His double came in the third inning which saw the Naturals bat around and score six runs. Shortstop Chris McConnell also homered, and second baseman Kurt Mertins had three RBI.

The Naturals have a total of 13 spring games on their Arizona schedule before breaking camp on March 28th. Today, the Naturals will face the West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx, the Seattle Mariners Double-A affiliate, at the Royals minor league complex in Surprise.

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are the Double-A Texas League affiliate of the Kansas City Royals and will begin play at state-of-the-art Arvest Ballpark, located in Springdale, on Thursday, April 10th against the San Antonio Missions.
