Thibault's HR Helps Lift NW Arkansas over West Tennessee

SURPRISE, AZ - After catcher Kiel Thibault had four hits and three RBI's on Saturday, he followed it up with a home run in the bottom of the second inning Sunday to contribute to the Northwest Arkansas Naturals 3-1 exhibition victory Sunday afternoon over the West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx, the Seattle Mariners' Double-A club.

Jeff Fulchino and Michael Connolly combined to keep the Diamond Jaxx off the board for the first seven innings. Connolly struck out five batters in his three innings of relief while yielding two hits and three walks. Rayner Oliveros pitched the final two innings, yielding two hits and a run.

Center fielder Derrick Robinson had two hits, an RBI, and a stolen base for Northwest Arkansas, which lifted its spring exhibition record to 2-1.

The Naturals have a total of 13 spring games on their Arizona schedule before breaking camp on March 28th. Monday, the Naturals will travel to Peoria to face the Diamond Jaxx at the Mariners' complex.

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are the Double-A Texas League affiliate of the Kansas City Royals and will begin play at state-of-the-art Arvest Ballpark, located in Springdale, on Thursday, April 10th against the San Antonio Missions.
