Saint John Sea Dogs News Release
SAINT JOHN, NB --- Sea Dogs president Wayne Long announced today that this Friday's home game versus the Moncton Wildcats has been designated âFan Appreciation Night'. Several exciting in-game promotions will be incorporated into Friday's contest, including a guaranteed 50-50 jackpot of $5000 and high-quality giveaways such as team merchandise and playoff tickets.
"This is our last home game of what has been a truly exceptional regular season and we really want to put on a great show for the loyal fans that have supported this franchise from Day One," said Long. "The Sea Dogs have done Saint John proud all season long, and we're hoping to have a packed house on Friday so as to send the team into the playoffs on a real high note."
At Friday's game, all forty-one (41) sections of Harbour Station will have one winner selected to win a pair of tickets to the Sea Dogs' first post-season game. Saint John secured home ice advantage for the opening round of this year's QMJHL Playoffs by virtue of Sunday's 4-2 road win over Cape Breton.
The Sea Dogs Foundation has also announced that the jackpot for the 50-50 draw on Friday night will be at least $5000.
Several seats throughout the arena will be tagged with winning stickers, giving the accompanying ticket-holder a $25 gift certificate to Sea Dogs Styles. In addition, during the first intermission on Friday, one lucky fan will be afforded the opportunity to win a new car as part of the Fundy Honda Shootout promotion.
Friday's game is being sponsored by the University of New Brunswick, and the school will be giving away numerous prizes throughout the evening. Furthermore, fans will be given a copy of the latest issue of Prospects Hockey Magazine at the end of the night as they leave the building.
The Sea Dogs are currently ranked second in the QMJHL East with a record of 39-22-3-3. Saint John trails first-place Halifax by three points.
