
Somerset Patriots To Host Law Enforcement Night On September 11

Bridgewater, NJ- The Three-Time Atlantic League Champion Somerset Patriots will host Law Enforcement Night with the Somerset County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday, September 11 at Commerce Bank Ballpark for the 7:05 pm game against the Lancaster Barnstormers.
Law Enforcement Night will include displays and demonstrations to help children and parents learn about different safety and law enforcement activities.
Prior to the game on display out in front of the ballpark the Sheriff's Office will have the entire K-9 Unit ( 3 vehicles/ 3 dogs- Narcotic, Explosive & Human Scent Detection) on display. Sparkee, the Patriots Mascot, will be an honorary K-9 member throughout the night.
There will also be Child Safety Seat Officers (Certified Technicians) showing parents the proper method for installing child seats in cars.
The event will include a Project Lifesaver demonstration, a bracelet program that special needs (autistic) children and elderly adults (Alzheimer's) wear and the Sheriff's Office can track them should they be missing.
Parents will have the opportunity to have their children fingerprinted at the ballpark that day.
Fans will be able to see a Special Response Team vehicle parked out front of the ballpark. This vehicle is especially equipped to respond to any emergency that could arise throughout the county.
On-field activities include the Somerset County Sheriff's Office Honor Guard presenting our nation's colors during the National Anthem. Somerset County Sheriff Frank Provenzano will be throwing out the first pitch along with a 9-11 address to the crowd.
