
Spivey Contract Sold to Red Sox

Bridgeport Bluefish News Release
The Bridgeport Bluefish of the Atlantic League announced that they have sold the contract of second-baseman Junior Spivey to the Boston Red Sox. Spivey will report immediately to AAA Pawtucket of the International League.
In 65 games with the Bluefish, Spivey amassed a .333 average with 5 homers and 39 RBI. He also led the league in on-base percentage at the time of his departure, reaching base at a .440 clip. Spivey got off to a hot start with the Bluefish, winning the Player of the Month award for the month of May. Spivey is a veteran of five Major League seasons, splitting time with Arizona, Milwaukee and Washington.
