Guelph Storm News Release
The Guelph Storm Hockey Club announced today that they have signed Peter Holland, the team's First Round Draft Pick in the 2007 OHL Priority Selection.
General Manager/Head Coach Dave Barr selected the 6-2, 175 lbs forward with the 11th overall selection. Last season with the Brampton Battalion AAA Minor Midgets, Holland filled the net at nearly a goal per game pace racking up 59 markers in 60 games. The power forward also tallied 60 assists to finish his stellar season with 119 points and 107 minutes in penalties.
Dave Barr has described Peter as being "a player with good skill and a great skater. He has a tremendous shot and is a good goal scorer".
Holland was on hand in early May for the Storm's annual Year End Banquet to receive the Lou Embro award for the Storm's 1st Round Draft Pick. The 17 year old was not in attendance at the Storm's annual Prospect Day held that same weekend as he attended the Under 17 Camp held at the University of Guelph. Holland will attend the Storm training camp which begins in late August.
