Published on June 14, 2007 under Midwest League (MWL1)
Quad Cities River Bandits News Release
The Swing of the Quad Cities website, www.swingbaseball.com, will have a fresh new look when the second half of the season resumes after the All-Star break. Thanks to Internet Revealed, the Swing's Internet Service Provider, the new-look website will be more interactive and fan friendly with a number of new features!
One of the significant new additions will be a fan forum, allowing Swing fans to interact with each other and discuss topics ranging from the Swing of the Quad Cities to the St. Louis Cardinals to anything else that might pop up. And who knows when a Swing player or coach might jump into the discussion!
The new site will also make it easier for fans to purchase tickets for upcoming games. Featuring a more prominent "Next Five Games" schedule on the top of the site, fans will be able to click on one of the next five games in order to purchase tickets directly over the Internet or take a glance at what fantastic promotion John O'Donnell Stadium will be hosting next!
The Swing of the Quad Cities website will be under construction on Monday, June 18, and will be ready to go live the next day as the Swing get set for the second half of the 2007 season!
TICKETS: Tickets for all events at John O'Donnell Stadium can be purchased by calling the Swing of the Quad Cities ticket office at (563) 328-2000, coming to the box office located at the stadium along South Gaines Street, or by logging on to www.swingbaseball.com.
UP NEXT: The Swing continue their nine-game homestand that will stretch to the All-Star break, welcoming the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (Mon-Thu) and Beloit Snappers (Fri-Sun) into town. All Swing games feature a radio broadcast that can be heard on The Truth AM-1270 or online at www.swingbaseball.com, with the pre-game show starting 15 minutes prior to scheduled first pitch.
UPCOMING PROMOTIONS: Thursday's contest will be a Bent River Brewing Company Thirsty Thursday, featuring Rock 104.9's Dave and Darren on the River Pavilion. The first half then winds down with a crucial three-game series against first-place Beloit. Fans arriving early to Friday night's game will get a Swiss Valley Farms Team Poster, while Saturday's Deere Employee Night "flying discs" giveaway, sponsored by Quad City International Airport, precedes a spectacular fireworks display! Sunday will mark the final game of the first half, as the Swing head to the All-Star break with a US Bank Family Fun Day!
