Colts To Use Pink Sticks in Support of Breast Cancer Awareness

Barrie, ON- The Barrie Colts today announced they will use pink TPS hockey sticks and auction them off in a silent auction format at their game against the Sudbury Wolves on Saturday March 3rdat the Barrie Molson Centre (7:30 p.m.).

All of the proceeds from the silent stick auction will be split evenly between the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and the Barrie Colts Education Fund. Fans will get a chance to bid on each player's stick in a silent format. The auction will open prior to Saturday's game, and close at the beginning of the third period in their home game on Thursday March 9 against the Sudbury Wolves.

Prior to this Saturday's game, every player on the team will present an extra pink stick to each of their mothers in attendance at the game. Sherry Lamb, Senior Manager of Community Events from the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation will also be on hand to perform the ceremonial face-off.
